The Private Memoir Writer & Storytelling

It takes a certain type of person to recognize that their life contains strings of precious elements that must not be lost and must never be forgotten.

The writing of a Memoir always requires a seasoned storyteller. That storyteller could be the Author, but increasingly, it is a storytelling professional Memoir Writer. As with all the varieties of storytelling, the text must incessantly pull the reader forward.

You provide us with the who, what, why, and when through questions and interviews tailored for you and your memoir genre. We gather your information, add depth, and weave interconnectedness into it.

The finished product is impressive, hardcover books that will be cherished by your family, friends, and future generations. We’ll deliver to you a tangible, living legacy.

About Us

Bradley Falk

My Path Books Memoir Writing Service was founded by Bradley and Jolan Falk and is based in Tampa, Florida.

They are Memoir Writers, storytellers and creatives. They have a passion for the history of humanity, writing, and surrounding themselves with the books and people they love. This passion ensures that your life story is authentic, emotionally memorable and entertaining.

Bradley is our literary bridge builder. His big-picture creative thinking ties a Memoir together by the most unexpected and pleasing associations, much like a well-constructed poem. His interviews are tranquil and enjoyable.

Bradley has journaled daily since he was 10 years old and is an experienced writer who sincerely enjoys challenging assignments. He received his first Memoir writing project shortly after graduating from college.

He has personally curated a collection of over 5,000 antiquarian books that has received considerable attention, for decades, from book lovers and collectors. Most of the volumes are in the library of the Falk’s home.

Jolan Falk

As a voracious reader who consumes dozens of genres, Jolan brings both world-centric and character-centric perspectives to the writing table.

She is the founder of her neighborhood’s 25-year-old book club that retains several original members. There is a ratio for the number of attendees for a given month and the number of empty wine bottles, which, of course, is a tightly guarded book club secret.

Jolan is equally a natural and studied editor, beyond her ability to create and write. As a co-inventor of The Orb Method during the Pandemic, she very often represents the reader by ensuring there is always a mutating dramatic tension to pull them forward. The Orb Method predominantly exists as a communicative bridge between the client and the professional Memoir Writer(s).

Jolan is also the Falk’s Pembroke Welsh Corgi selector and keeper. For over a quarter of a century, the Falks have had three Corgis: Emma, Viggo, and now a six-month-old puppy named Bennett.

The Falks are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary this year.

Our Memoir Writing Service & Cost

My Path Books writes Memoirs that are read cover-to-cover by those who are sincerely interested in you.

Our Memoirs start at $7,500, which includes five hardcover, full-color books with custom-designed dust jackets. (Additional books are available at a very reasonable cost due to rapid advances in on-demand hardcover assembly and printing technology.)

We tell the story of what it’s been like being you on planet Earth. We allow for nearly unlimited use of pertinent photos, especially those that evoke a harmonizing, amplifying, or deepening emotion in your life story.

Imagine yourself as part of a family of five. Now, look at the photo of your five-member family: Mom, Dad, you (as the middle child), and your two siblings. How many words would it take to capture your imaginary family with any degree of clarity? Photos are the most powerful, most accurate, most easily absorbed, emotion-rendering form of communication. So hire a Memoir Writer who understands the emotional power of images.

Our experience and expertise frees you up to focus on your story and ultimately the theme or message of your life story. We mold, arrange, and polish your Memoir, saving you the hassle of writing it, which is typically over 90% of the time required to completely write your own Memoir.

Our Process Promises Peace & Empowerment

We’ll guide you as you purposefully reoccupy your past.

You’ll become aware of what is going on, right now, on the stage that is your life story, which is a natural result of successfully reoccupying your past.

The above two steps will usually lead you to clearly see not only your next step but also your next path. (That is why we named our company My Path Books.)

Life is Not a
Dress Rehearsal

If you do not capture your life story now and move it to a place outside of yourself, you will miss one of the most life-changing, mystical, and cerebrally expanding opportunities you could ever experience. The experience is so sacred that it can only be called upon once in a lifetime.

For most people over 65, much of the challenges and the swiftest forms of change have already come and gone. When you speak to someone who has been retired for over five years, you will probably notice in your conversation that their story is lacking passion, and they are running many old, worn-out reels.

Writing a Memoir rejuvenates your life force—and that is going to monumentally change your life and impact everyone near you.

Memoirs Are Mysterious & Magical

The most crucial element of our mission is also our primary mantra, and that is never to forget that our job is “To Be You For Awhile & Write About It.” This is existential stuff. With every Memoir we complete, we recall those spooky moments when serendipity, and sometimes even the knowledge of something that was impossible for us to know, sends chills down our spines. A Memoir requires a professional, two-way intimacy at the gut level, and everyone intuitively knows this, but few acknowledge it.

For The Grandparents

We hope you’ve come to understand that we feel a sacredness for what we do. As a grandparent, you will usually have in mind yet unborn grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Memoir is a conduit that can assure that the many layers of your life will be understood—and that you will remain “knowable” to future generations.

“Legacy” is a much-used, boring word in our vocation, to the point of being cliché. So, let’s look into it.

The word “legacy” comes from the Latin word legatus, which means “envoy” or “ambassador.”

It’s difficult to leave a multi-generational legacy of your life and/or your life’s work that will retain YOU in it, because people get busy and people age. That means you have an obligation to be that “envoy,” to be that “ambassador,” and to create a timeless vehicle and vessel of who you really were—Your Memoir.

We respectfully call all bearers of a Memoir, members of “The Immortals’ Club”. When you hire someone to write a book about your life, you have a very high probability that a family member or friend will exclaim, “This is the best gift you’ve ever given me!”

Honoring Those You Love

A Memoir is an eccentric, courageous, and satisfying way to honor those you love and to communicate exactly why they mean so much to you. The multidimensional magic of a Memoir is that everyone who reads it will discover exactly why that person means so much to you.

After a few people have read your Memoir, we predict that you will discover two or three relationships that will rapidly bloom into a new closeness. We also predict that these relationships will not be the ones you would have predicted.

The Next Step

The first sentence of our website stated, “It takes a certain type of person to know that their life contains strings of precious elements that must not be lost.”

If that simple sentence pulled you in—then it’s time to become the curator of your life’s stories.

I never realized how low my self-esteem had become until I signed off on the last sentence of my book. I will remember that moment for the rest of my life. I realized that I had done quite excellently with the cards the Universe dealt me.

You guys extracted everything you needed from me to create an amazing memoir.

The crazy thing is for the entire time you were writing, it was the busiest my life has ever been. Your Orbs are absolutely brilliant and they saved my ass. I could always complete exactly what you asked. I’ll never forget you or this experience. It was better than a vacation! What’s a vacation?

—David

I came to know the Falks through a mutual friend. For a year or two, I was seeking a way to capture the undeniable magic of meeting my 3rd wife, and our first six months together. For an obvious-to-me reason, I can remember nearly every sentence we said, the taste of every meal and the love that I felt.

Through every trick you can imagine, including many pages of emotional, sensitive and revealing dialog, they pulled the story out of me. It was so satisfying to my body, mind, and spirit to recapture and secure that wonderful time in my life.

—Parker

My book is my most precious possession. I want my grandkids and great grandkids to say I’m the coolest grandma who’s ever lived. I want my friends to find me a safe haven. If everyone in their middle to latter years was given the opportunity to record and share their lives, this world would quickly become a much better place. There is magic in what you do, Bradley and Jolan.

—Dawn
